Annual Refresher First Aid Course
The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) strongly recommends the holders of Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work certificates to undertake annual refresher training around the annual anniversary of their certificate, to ensure their skills remain current.
Employers are legally required to ensure their first aiders are competent and maintain their skills throughout the three years in which their certificates are valid.

- Emergency First Aid at Work certificate holders
- First Aid at Work certificate holders
Course syllabus
- The priorities of first aid
- Treatment of an unresponsive casualty
- Resuscitation including basics of automated external defibrillation (AED)
- Shock
- Bleeding
- Seizures
Course duration
- Three hours excluding breaks
Course dates
- Closed courses can be held at your site for your group of up to 12 students at times and date to suit you

Assessment
- Continuous assessment by the Training staff
- Delegates will require sufficient fluency in written and spoken English at national literacy level 2 to cope with the course
Certificate
- An MGM Training Annual Refresher certificate which is valid for one year
