Principles of Manual Handling Course
The course is designed for employees who will be moving objects in the workplace. All employers in the United Kingdom have a legal obligation to make the workplace as safe as possible under the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and also the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (as amended)
Who should attend
- Any staff member who is required to move, pull or push objects in the work place
- A person who is committed to showing potential employers they have studied for workplace qualifications

- Safer lifting and handling techniques
Course duration
- Three hours excluding breaks
- Courses are normally run over one morning session but other timings such as afternoon, evening or weekend can be arranged
Course dates
- Closed courses can be held at your site for your group of up to 12 students at times and date to suit you

Assessment
- Continuous, unobtrusive assessment by trainer
Certificate
- A certificate which shows attendance at the training session.
- Certificate is valid for one year.
Special Consideration
- It is the responsibility of the student that they are physically fit before they attend this course as there will be some practical activities.
