Early Years First Aid at MGM Training
Twelve Hour Paediatric First Aid Course
The aim of this seven hour paediatric first aid course is to provide students with paediatric first aid training as per the standards required by CSSIW (Care & Social Services Inspectorate Wales) for Nurseries & Child Minders in Wales.
Who should attend
- People responsible for the care of young children in a Welsh child care setting
Course syllabus
- Unconsciousness and the recovery position
- Adult, Infant and Child Rescue Breaths and CPR
- Adult, Infant and Child Choking
- Asthma and Diabetes
- Seizures
- Head Injuries
- Bleeding and Shock
- Burns
- Poisoning
- Eye injuries
- Childhood conditions
- Heart conditions
- Meningitis & septicaemia
- Personal protective equipment and infection control
Course duration
- 7 hours (excluding breaks)
Assessment
- Continuous assessment by trainer
Certificate
- A MGM Training Seven Hour Paediatric First Aid certificate which is valid for three years, will be awarded on successful completion of the course
- We are a member of the FOFATO (Federation of First Aid Training Organisations) Paediatric Register
